The Old Town Elk Grove Foundation invites you to come experience the heart of Elk Grove during the 3rd Annual Spring Festival and Chili Cook Off. Elk Grove Boulevard will be closed to through traffic from 2nd Avenue to Derr Street from 7am til 7pm. The Boulevard will be packed with craft vendors, food vendors, live entertainment, a beer garden, pony rides, petting zoo, chili tasting, a chili-eating contest and much, much more.
The International Chili Society will be hosting their regional chili contest with the winners going on to the Nationals. There will be a "People's Choice" Chili Contest with prizes up to $750 going to the hard working team that makes the BEST chili as voted by the people.
So head on down to Old Town Elk Grove, Saturday, May 22 from 10am to 6pm. Chili tasting starts at 12noon and ends when the chili runs out! With crowds expected upwards of 10,000, you may want to buy your chili tasting kits early to get in on the best action!
